【序言】

The main goal of Spoken American English for All Occasions is to assemble common American Expressions including slang, idioms and phrases for students of English as a foreign language on both the Junior and advanced college levels.
The English course contains 21 units which offer an abundant variety of topics in the categories of food, clothing, housing, transportation, amusement and sports. The use and usage of common expressions, phrases. Slang and basic English grammar are also presented.
This volume covers a wide range of topics designed to give the instructor an ample choice of exercises involving speaking and listening. Each unit of the volume contains Words and Expressions, Informative Dialogue, Notes, Questions for Oral Practice, Language-Use Oriented Dialogue, Idiomatic Expressions and Substitution Exercises. Students are also provided with the addition of Guided Speaking Activities, Oral Communicative Activities and Extension／Follow-up Activities to generate student class interaction and information sharing.
